the time machine is back … one picture for each photo session captured ten years ago. 2001, October 22 : long time ago, I was used to shoot photo series for Halloween or Christmas. I started with one session with Mathilde who discovered my fetish universe that day. She was a nice woman and a cool girl to work with : my old fans never forgot this model who did lot of erotic movies for the french television … and several days of shooting for Captive Culture :)
the story IN YOUR EYES #34
I didn’t post one revisited picture since a while … enjoy this one starring Amélie shot in May 2009 : I got the idea to mix rubber with bondage for this session featuring nylon stockings and latex lingerie. I really appreciate to notice the suspenders were visible under the skirt, the tight latex was looking almost transparent … as usual, that picture tells a story for me. Which one for you ?
10 YEARS AGO : she wasn’t shy
the time machine is back … one picture for each photo session captured ten years ago. 2001, October 15 : sorry for not posting this shot right on time but I was busy the last week-end. In the story of Captive Culture, some sessions have been better than others, I don’t keep a good memory about that day. I worked one time only with that girl and the result is more than average. At least, you can watch her rear view waiting for my next blog entry :)
10 YEARS AGO : playing with nylon
the time machine is back … one picture for each photo session captured ten years ago. 2001, October 04 : I’m a bit late to post that picture of Kat exploring my fetish universe : PVC dress, nylon stockings and high heel shoes before to play with leather restraint. I could use another shot from that session but finally decided to publish this portrait of the french woman using nylon stocking as blindfold … always a good way to increase the feeling of a bound girl :)
captive culture 11TH ANNIVERSARY
10.10.11 … this date looks like a language for a machine. 3 days ago, I was supposed to write a blog post about the 11th anniversary but I didn’t have the time to do it. As you know, my life slightly changed this summer and my priorities have been modified.
As I explained last week to my love, I was expecting these changes to turn a page. I spent more than ten years working every day for the Captive Culture project and it took lot of energy. After all this time, my motivation decreased and I don’t want to organize my life for the website anymore. Work is something necessary but I did too much : I was workaholic and this choice isn’t compatible with a balanced way of life.
Last year, I thought the time to stop just came but I decided to continue. I still don’t want to kill my project but I want to include it into my life and not include my life into the Captive Culture. So, I will continue to shoot bondage pictures but I won’t update the website every two weeks anymore.
Long time ago, the members area was updated every month and I had more time to build a better update. It’s not a big deal for you but it makes a real difference for me. I always run after the deadline and it generates too many problems. In consequence, the next update will be on November 01 : I will mix two updates in one every month, you’ll get access to more stuff and I’ll have the time to prepare others things.
Captive Culture is like an old friend … we have lot of memories together : I hope you will understand this change. I really need more time for me, to prepare my life for the day after the death of Captive Culture. Unfortunately, I know the story will stop one day.
In a society where lot of people don’t buy music and movies, you can imagine the economical evolution of a membership website like Captive Culture : we all need money to survive and that’s the problem. I stopped paying myself two years ago, that’s okay because I wanted to save my project but, now, the problem is there are not enough members to pay the bills : taxes, hosting, clothes, travel expenses for models, computer and photo stuff.
I have always been honnest with people loving my photography : I created Captive Culture by passion and always tried to balance between the need of paying fees and the wish to share my art with you.
I could write more but I don’t want to be boring. If you don’t like my work, you don’t care about these lines and I am sorry for the time loss. But if you appreciate my art, if you loved Captive Culture one day, it’s the right time to become a member ! I read lot of comments like “oh dude, I like your pics for years, I will join one day” and, everytime, I think “that’s cool but don’t wait too much because one day could be too late” … please never forget Captive Culture needs your support to stay online, thank you.
